Cinemark has adopted a very unique and catchy advertising one-liner “The best seat in town!”. It has a feline mascot, an animated character named Front Row Joe. Another female cat named Popcorn Penny accompanies Front Row Joe. They normally appear in the opening films and trailers of new releases. Joe has a funnier look with bluish eyes and a large, grinning smile. The opening films start with Joe blinking at the crowd and hastening to the ticket counter. Penny enters the scene by popping up from the table at the ticket counter. Joe buys his ticket from Penny and enters the theater. Then he takes cola and popcorn from Penny as well. Joe is shown enjoying his favorite movie: Penny whirling around and dancing in a black and white attire. All on a sudden the reel world enlivens up and Joe is pulled inside by Penny. Now both of them are shown in dancing outfits and the screen also brightens up in resplendent colors. Jazzy tunes are played in the background to mark a merry mood. Soon, the screen shows a huge Cinemark house and a bagful of popcorn and a larger than life cola.
